Each section has written material and movies. You will download the first file in each section. This is a pdf file.
It is the written material for each class. Then click on the movies. You can watch them online and or download them to your computer. There is an online private network to see questions asked by other students, share your work, and ask questions.
You will be give a password to access each section. Once you register you will be sent an invitation to log onto this private network.
Enjoy and use the online network to post your images and ask questions.

Week 1
We will explore salt techniques. These are some of my favorite techniques. It is fun and anyone can do it. We will learn various ways to make backgrounds using blending, wet in wet, and other watercolor methods.
To finish off we will learn about the magic of “Mindscapes.”
Week 2
This week
you will learn about the most common basic silk painting techniqu using resist. There is a painting demonstration with blending. You will learn some ideas on how to transfer designs to silk.
Week 3
In week three will look at the many looks of painting with alcohol, wet on wet, and free flow painting.
Week 4
This week we will explore painting with colored resist, how to paint without lines, and no flow methods.
Week 5
This week we will have fun with hot wax and how to layer. You will learn how to set dyes in a simple homemade steamer.
Week 6
Now you can put your skills together in creative ways. Learn different ways to present your art, framing, mounting silks on canvas. We will look at other ways to embellish your silks with Paintstiks.
